1. Equipment

Peloton currently offers two types of equipment: the treadmill and the Peloton bike. The two types of equipment are the basis for most of the cardio workouts. Peloton cardio exercises can be done by running, cycling, or walking.

Peloton recommends that you purchase strength training accessories. These can include dumbbells and kettlebells with varying weights. There are now resistance bands that can be used in workouts.

You can purchase the secondary accessories on Peloton. Even better, if you already own them, you have an advantage.

Peloton bikes and bike plus, which are two options for the Peloton bicycle, require that you purchase either cycling shoes or
foot cages. Peloton offers an essentials package that includes the Peloton/ Peloton plus, Peloton bike/bike plus, cycling shoes, cleats, headphones and light dumbbells. The package will be charged an additional cost.

Mirror’s basic package, on the other hand, includes the Mirror and its accessories including the mirror lens cap and stand. Technically, there won’t be any workout equipment. The only thing that will be included is a way to access the equipment.

Workouts. Therefore, you will need to purchase all the other equipment you may need at an added cost or separately. With the essentials package on Mirror, you will get the basic package, in addition to a heart rate monitor, a fitness band pack, lift and lengthen yoga block, loop it up mat strap, a reversible mat, and double foam roller mini. The accessories are either Mirror brand or Lululemon brand accessories.

Peloton is a better option than Mirror if you want to get more out of your equipment workouts.

2. Screen

Peloton screen vs. Mirror screen

Mirror has a large mirror-sized screen measuring 43 inches. It is vertical which helps it achieve its goal of a mirror appearance. It is permanently mounted to the wall during installation. It cannot be moved at will.

The Mirror allows you to see your reflection while you work out, along with the instructor. As you compare your form to the instructor’s, you can easily see what he does. It is actually this technology that costs almost $1000.

How do I control the Mirror screen? First, you’ll need to download the Mirror App on your tablet or phone. This will be your remote control for the Mirror. It looks similar to a TV that miracasts content from a tablet or laptop. You can also stream content from a computer to a TV using an HDMI. Because it is wireless, miracasting is easier.

Peloton’s screens are smaller at 21.5 inches. Peloton has screens that measure 21.5 inches and 24 inches. They are horizontally oriented and can be mounted on the appropriate piece of equipment, such as the treadmill or bike. You can remove the screen from either the tread or bike at any time. It is best to remove the screen from the bike or tread whenever you move it to protect it.

Peloton screens come with the Peloton treads and bikes. You cannot use it on your own unless you have a Peloton treadmill or bike. It is included in the equipment price.

The
Peloton screen
can be controlled directly via a touchscreen. You can use either the
Peloton digital application
or the recommended unlimited membership.

3. Space Required

Mirrors can be mounted on your wall just like a normal mirror. It doesn’t take up much space. You will only need extra space to do your workouts, which you can easily manage when you’re ready.

The bikes and other equipment of Peloton are also very sleek. They still require more space than the Mirror workout option.

Mirror is the best deal if you are looking for a compact workout option.

4. Workouts

Peloton’s cardio equipment makes it clear that cardio is the best option for a workout. Peloton offers great cardio options for those who want to lose weight or improve their heart health.

Peloton workouts are for beginners and advanced. They last from five to sixty minutes. The instructors and celebrities in fitness will make sure that every minute on the tread or bike counts.

Peloton has strength, yoga, meditation classes that I found to be highly effective. The strength classes are high-intensity and include resistance bands, weights, blocks, and weights.

Mirror’s workouts, on the other hand, are very focused on cardio. Except for the barre and dance classes, you can’t really push yourself to do proper cardio. If you have resistance bands and weights, you can optimize your weights classes. They may not be as effective as Tonal, however they are well worth the investment. Mirror offers many options for yoga, including advanced yoga. To manage your training, you will need accessories like a light and longen block and a chair.

Peloton is an excellent choice if you are looking to improve your cardio workouts. Mirror, on the other hand, is a great choice for yoga training. The two platforms are tied for meditation and strength classes.

5. Live and On-demand Classes

Peloton is always ahead of its competitors with live classes, as most other companies will only offer the on-demand option. Mirror, however, has live classes, which are just as many as Peloton’s, and its on demand library is unrivalled.

6. Interactive Classes

Peloton also offers a Leaderboard that allows users to compete and interact with each other in the same class. It’s available in both live classes and on-demand classes. This gives you the motivation to work out with others.

You can also get shoutouts from instructors, high-fives from fellow classmates or for achievements during class.

Mirror displays the names of each class during both live and on-demand classes. This gives you a sense of community. Even though you can’t see the other members working out, and they can’t see you, you know you aren’t alone.

Both screens come with microphones and cameras that allow you to ask your instructor questions. Peloton allows you to video chat with your friends via the microphone and camera. Mirror offers personalized training with an instructor for an additional cost.

7. Other Console Features

Both Peloton and Mirror can be used with Bluetooth. The Bluetooth feature allows you use the Bluetooth feature with any brand accessory.

Each piece of equipment has superb speakers that allow you to listen to the amazing music it offers. You can also use the Bluetooth feature to add an external feature for custom music audio.

After you pay, both companies offer free delivery and installation. You will receive a confirmation of delivery dates and can choose from the available dates.

All you need to think about is how you’ll get your first workout on the new equipment.

10. Cost

The Mirror’s cost is generally lower than the Peloton equipment. The Mirror would still be cheaper than the standard Peloton bike if you included all the accessories.

The cost of the app is $39 per month. Mirror does not offer a one-year membership, so you can’t cancel your membership mid-year. Peloton allows you pay the monthly subscription and you can cancel the subscription at any time. You will be billed the next month. Even better, there are no activation charges.

You can have multiple accounts with the Mirror or Peloton membership. Mirror allows you to create up six accounts for your household or family. The number of accounts you can create on your Peloton bike or tread is unlimited

Peloton also offers a digital app membership for $12.99. This membership is great for those who train alone, but don’t have the budget. The digital membership is available to anyone who does not have the Peloton equipment.

Both companies offer zero interest rate payment plans. If you are unable to pay in installments but still want to purchase either equipment, the payment plan option is for you.

Mirror is the best choice for budget considerations in the short-term. Peloton, however, is the best choice for long-term budget consideration.
