The new Peloton Guide is a indoor fitness mirror. It focuses on strength exercises and allows you to compare your form with the instructor. The Peloton guide can be described as the Peloton mirror.

The Guide is an AI connected strength equipment from Peloton that you connect to your TV to access the Peloton workouts. You can connect the Guide to your TV to access Peloton just like in the Peloton digital app. The Peloton Guide offers more than just the Peloton App.

It includes a heart rate monitor that allows you to monitor your strength training on Peloton. The Guide uses machine learning technology to monitor users.movements, regardless of what strength training accessories they use.

Peloton Guide features a Self Mode feature that allows members to see themselves while they exercise. They can then compare their form with the instructor’s in real-time and make adjustments as needed.

The Guide will turn your TV screen into an optical mirror so you can see your form.


The entire Peloton Guide package has been well designed and is easy to put together. You can set up the camera by simply placing it on the magnetic stand.

An initial update will be required to be downloaded, and then installed. The entire process should take around 20 minutes.

Once you have set up the menus and UI, it is easy to navigate through Peloton’s vast library. Peloton’s “Movement Tracker” is designed to mark strength classes with a sweatdrop.

Movement Tracker

The movement tracking actually does what it says. To track your movements. It doesn’t distinguish between movements.

The Peloton Guide encourages strength sets by showing a sweat drop. This drops fills as you move. The droplet will fill up as long as you are moving for at least 75% of the time.

Every movement works, of course. Peloton will count any movement, even if it is modified or changed.

This can be a great motivator to push yourself to complete a set. However, it doesn’t do much else. All workouts should now be time-based and not just on reps. While this may not seem like a major issue for some, it could make your overall experience more difficult.

Voice commands

The remote for the Peloton Guide is not included, but you can use voice commands to control many of your needs. You can use voice commands to send commands such as:

  • Okay Peloton! Pause the workout
  • Peloton, get started with the workout
  • Okay Peltoton! Now rewind to last set
  • Okay Peloton! Switch to side view

Peloton instructors sometimes don’t give me as much rest between sets as I would prefer. In those instances, I found it helpful to be able to pause the workout and then start it again without needing to reach for the remote.

Body Activity

The Body Activity monitoring, just like the Movement Tracker monitors your exercise. The tracker first tracks your body muscles and how often you focus on them during workouts. It then recommends classes to help you focus on the muscles you have left behind.

The Guide makes it easy to do whole-body exercises without ignoring any muscle group.


The Peloton Guide also includes a new feature, the ‘Body Activity Chart’. This chart will show you how much time each muscle group is working.

It should, at least. It took data from all my workouts, but I’m not certain it works correctly after testing it.

This can be helpful to guide you to workouts or muscle groups that you might be overlooking. This could prove to be equally dangerous as it is based on the false assumption that all muscles should be worked equally.

Before drawing further conclusions, we will need to find out how the bugs work and what kind of guidance it creates.

Exclusive content

Peloton has created exclusive content to increase interest in its Peloton Guide. For seven weeks, the Guide will have exclusive access to most new strength programs such as the recently released Floor Bootcamp Program. Additional weekly programs based on the live schedule will remain permanently exclusive.

This is a smart strategy for Peloton. However, it feels like a slap to their members. Members may have paid $2,000 to purchase a tread or bike, and continue to pay $500 per year for their membership. Peloton will lock out content and other features to members who are not yet members.

Who will be training the new strength workouts using the Peloton Guide, and who will do it? The trainers will be competitive Peloton trainers for the strength training exercises.

These trainers include: Robin Arzon, Selena Samuela, Ben Alldis, Daniel McKenna, Callie Gullickson, Chase Tucker, Rebecca Kennedy, Rad Lopez, Matty Maggiacomo, Jess Sims, Andy Speer, and Adrian Williams.

Olivia Amato and Matty Maggiacomo are already on the beginner training list, and they will help users learn the basics and adapt to the new strength training development.

Pricing & Membership Cost

The price of the Peloton Guide has been reduced from $495 down to $295. Although this price is better, digital members will pay more.

All-access members, those who pay $39/month, will not be required to pay additional membership fees. If digital members want to use the Peloton Guide they will need to raise their monthly membership fee to $12 to $24 for the rest of 2022. Their monthly membership fee will then be increased to $39 per year.

Is the Peloton Guide Worth It?

It is definitely worth it. The Peloton Guide is worth the investment if you are interested in Peloton strength, which is increasing. It is cheaper than the Peloton bike, Peloton bike plus, and treadmill, but offers multiple accounts for Peloton strength training.

The Guide will provide you with the best strength training results, thanks to the advanced Peloton strength-training and the right equipment. These include weight loss, toned muscle, and a sexy body shape.

This is only one example from many I looked at. The same issue seems to be consistent with all the workouts I did on the Peloton Guide.
