Scosche Rhythm+ Reviewed – The Ultimate Peloton Accessory

I have written about my frustration with the Peloton brand heart rate monitor. After much research, I decided to upgrade to the Scosche+ Heart Rate Monitor.

A heart rate monitor is a great tool for monitoring your heart rate during exercise. You can maximize your time on Peloton by tracking your heart rate and training with heart rate intervals. You will need to work out longer if you are training at a lower BPM. You will quickly burn out if you exercise at too high BPMs for too long. This is known as hitting a wall.

Scosche Rhythm+ Heart Rate Monitor works with all Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ enabled devices (Peloton requires ANT+). This includes watches, fitness equipment, smartphones, and other mobile devices.

It was easy to set up the Peloton. After charging it for a while, I put it on my forearm before going upstairs to my Peloton. I opened the settings screen on my Peloton and went to Heart Rate section. To put the Scosche Rhythm+ heart rate monitor into pairing mode, press and hold the button. Peloton connected immediately to it and I was on my way. I haven’t had one disconnect yet.

Its comfort is the main reason to buy it. It’s not a chest-strap, so it is much more comfortable while riding. The strap is made from a breathable, neoprene-armband. The strap comes in a short and long version. You can choose from a variety of colors. I chose the orange and red combination.

Final verdict

Since I bought it, the Scosche+ Heart Rate Monitorhas proven to be a great purchase. I also appreciate how easy it was to connect to my Peloton bicycle. The battery lasts six hours and it is waterproof to IP67, so there’s no need to worry about the sensor contacts getting damaged by sweat. Scosche Rhythm+ is a great option if you’re looking for a new heart rate monitor or replacement for an existing one.
