It announced recently a $100 million investment it will expedite international shipping to its customers. Recent rumors also suggest that Peloton expands to Australia See video here
Many fitness enthusiasts have had to deal with COVID-19’s limitations on classes in person that involve close human contact. However, the number of Peloton members has increased. One, many people found the motivation (and maybe desperation)to use their Peloton every day during the pandemic. However, even with the positive results, many Peloton users miss the experience of going to a class in person.
Do not be afraid, social butterflies- Peloton can’t get you back in a hot exercise studio. Peloton’s entire business strategy is the exact opposite. Peloton offers its members the best option - video chat. You can watch your friend gasp for air as you curse the sky. This is how to video chat on your Peloton Tread or Bike.
How to start a Peloton chat
Your first step is to make sure that video chat is enabled. This will ensure that you are able to initiate a video chat and accept invitations from your friends.
Tap the bottom right corner on your touch screen and select “profile settings”. Next, click the tab “social” and make sure “enable chat” is selected as a privacy option.
Next, ensure you are following your friend and vice versa. The video chat option won’t be available if both of you aren’t following each other during a ride.
This step will require coordination outside the Peloton space. Talk to your friend to determine which class they are in and the class you will be taking together. Send them a message before you go!
Join the same ride, locate your friend under “here right now” and tap their name. You can then tap “talk” and your Peloton will initiate a video call with the friend.
The video chat feature is currently limited to 1:1 chats and does not support groups. If there are any issues, Peloton’s support webpage should be able to assist.
This is it. Now, coordinate with your Peloton homies and choose a ride with music that you both love. You can even incorporate winded Karaoke into your ride!
